The location of the hotel allows a very good connection to down town and to the central railway station of SMN, reachable by public buses and also congress hall and Fortezza da Basso, two of the main seats of most important exhibitions, are easily reachale from the hotel. Getting to Hotel Alex from the Peretola Airport: The simplest way to arrive to Hotel Alex from the airport is by taxi Fares usually range between 15-20€ depending on the amount of luggage you have and early morning/late night surcharges The trip takes around 10-15 min. Altenately you can take the airport SITA/ATAF bus link with Santa Maria Novella train station which runs every ½ hour. Bus ride takes around 10-15min. Tickets cost €4.50 and can be bought from the bus driver From the train station: once you arrive at the train station by bus, just walk back along Via Alemanni street and take the 1st left in to Via Orti Oricellari. There you’ll find a bus-stop for the No.26 bus which will drop you right in front of Hotel Alex in Via Baccio da Montelupo, 20(ask driver for correct stop).
